Transportation Graphics

Digital Tap has 18+ years specializing in the development and production of graphics for the transportation industry, including public meeting and proposal graphics, project website development/management, and 3D conceptual image design and previsualization for transportation projects.

Transportation Graphics

Some of our more recent high profile projects include the TBNext/Howard Frankland Bridge PD&E Study 3D typical sections, Anna Maria Bridge project interactive 360 spherical conceptual renderings and a collection of 300+ photo simulations for the Tampa Interstate Study/Downtown Tampa Interchange PD&E Study Alternatives Public Workshop. Each of these projects included either printed collateral, conceptual images, website design, interactive elements, or a combination of these items.

3D modeling is used to create highly realistic objects or environments that can be viewed from any angle and be rendered at any print size. 3D modeling is often utilized when an existing photo is not available for a before-and-after and the entire roadway, corridor, or environment must be constructed from scratch.

02

A “Before/After” image is created to show the differences between existing conditions and proposed changes. These images can be compared side by side to give a better understanding of the proposed concept.

03

360° Virtual Tours are a great way to add more interaction to your transportation project’s next public meeting and can be seen on any computer, tablet or phone (Android & iOS) or VR device (Oculus, VIVE, Gear VR, etc.) – no installation or plugins needed. We can add 360º views (panoramas), 360º videos, embedded sounds, videos and photos, floorplans, customized environments, live guided tours, and more to inform your audience.

04

An enhanced typical is created to give a better understanding of what a section of a corridor might look like in the real world. An enhanced typical provides a much clearer understanding of the proposal than a standard typical section, which is invaluable to a client – especially when used as a part of public outreach activities.

05

Interactive displays are a great way to engage your audience and elevate your public outreach activities! From VR presentations, to large format touch screens and tablet based apps, we can help you reach your target audience and keep them interested.

06

Our previsualization experts have created numerous animated fly-throughs for transportation/planning projects, commercial buildings and public involvement activities. Utilizing software such as Maya, Blender and Lumen RT, we can help bring your next project to life with a pre-rendered video, real-time walkthrough or VR experience – contact us today for a free quote!

Before and After Images

A “before-and-after” is created to show the differences between existing conditions and proposed changes. These images can be compared side by side to give a better understanding of the proposed concept. A photo of existing conditions is used as the “before” picture. The proposed changes are then created in a digital environment and aligned to match the camera angle of the original photo. These graphics are then composited on top of the before picture to produce the “after” image.

Design is intelligence made visible.
